Automatically fix registry errors using PowerTools Lite

Previously, I wrote an article on the 10 best free registry cleaners currently on the market. The Windows registry can become bloated over time and registry cleaners help to reduce to size of the actual file. Another one I came across was PowerTools Lite.

PowerTools Lite is a freeware from Macecraft software (URL: http://www.macecraft.com/ptlite/) that detects and fix errors in the Windows registry. It also searches invalid registry entries and cleans them. It has a backup utility so you can restore any backup created before cleaning or deleting files and entries in the registry.

Click File then select Quick system analysis of your system. This will scan you computer for errors and invalid entries in the registry.

After finishing the analysis, click on the Clean and fix my computer icon. These will display the scan research window and you will be able to correct the errors scanned by the program.

To correct the errors scanned by PowerTools Lite , select the item in the Scan Results window and click the fix button. The system will ask you if you want to backup the scanned item before any action is taken. Click yes to if you want to back up the files.

You can also delete and restore your backup files in the backup tool window.

Click on the backup file click delete if you want to delete the backup file or click restore to restore the backup file.

As a power windows user, I always tend to mess up my registry entries.  It is hard to keep it clean without a tool like PowerTools Lite.  It is scans fast and could fix your registry in a few minutes.
