How to get Twitter stats using TwitterFriends

Do you want to know who replies to someone the most in Twitter?  Or you want to know how conversational you are in Twitter?  Enter TwitterFriends, a website where you can type in your own Twitter account's name or anyone else's and get measurements containing statistical data about their tweeting behavior.

To get started with the tool, just go to their main page: http://twitter-friends.com/ then enter the username of the person's twitter account. For example, if you want to study John Mayer's twitting stats enter his Twitter account name on the textbox then click the Go button:

The result page will show the charts of people who replied to the Twitter account.  The left side contains people the account replied to while the right side contains the people who replied to the account.

The lower part of the page contains a meaty set of metrics comparing the account's numbers with an average Twitter user.  I like this report because it is color coded and displays quite a few interesting metrics like conversational rank, retweet quotient, replies sent per day, and other useful information.

A graph is also available showing the important numbers in a visual representation.

There are also interesting tag-cloud-like outputs that shows who is referencing the Twitter account the most:

For Twitter users who want more reporting power, this tool from TwitterFriends is a great online resource. I just wish the labels for the metrics came with a pop-up help icon so new users could easily determine what those figures mean.  Make sure to checkout our previous post on how annoying it is to follow someone in Twitter.

Ben Carigtan shows you how it's done.
